  • Implementation of category sourcing strategies and supply contracts for the Services category through participation of cross functional category teams
  • Driving sustainable total cost reductions in Services commodity through appropriate and effective sourcing strategies
  • Execution of Services sourcing and the management of ongoing supply, monitoring and auditing of performance
  • Adhering to internal authorization mandates
  • Managing relationships with suppliers, negotiate payment terms and manage associated operational requirements
  • Managing and controlling of contracts on Maximo and Contract Register
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance with suitable key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Managing relationships with internal customers at a senior level and developing close, collaborative working relationships with the relevant business and plant personnel
  • Analyze supplier landscape, select vendor and conduct negotiations:
    • Manages vendors, monitors performance and compliance with guidelines
    • Measures and tracks internal performance within each spend category
  • Synthesizes business needs, challenges demand and drives standardization of specifications
  • Maximizes savings delivery and secures TCO reductions and record Cost saving initiatives monthly
  • Developing negotiation strategies and leading contract negotiations with suppliers, and leading supplier diversity initiatives for the category, including steps to achieve the company’s BBBEE targets.
    • Implement and record Cost savings initiatives.
    • Adhering to internal authorization mandates.
    • Update of pricing and contracts in Maximo.
    • Monthly compilation of reports, preparation and submission of dashboards
    • Perform Supplier Audits and SLA evaluations.

  • An appropriate qualification: Bachelor’s Degree, Commerce or Finance or CIPS Level 4 (or other relevant tertiary degree).
  • At least 5 to 10 years in Procurement or Commercial role
  • Good knowledge of strategic sourcing concepts and processes, and experience in driving total cost reductions within manufacturing industries.
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to sift through large volumes of information (spend data, specifications, market intelligence etc.) to solve problems and identify value opportunities.
  • Experience in establishing and managing contracts with a solid appreciation for typical contract requirements, structure and associated sections and clauses
  • The ability to handle supplier negotiations using a fact-based, information-driven approach
  • Project management experience
  • Strong analytical thinking capability and skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.
