Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Global HR Senior Manager to lead and support our international HR operations from our base in South Africa. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in global HR management, including talent strategy, organizational development, compliance, and employee experience across multiple regions. This role will serve as a key partner to business leaders and HR counterparts around the world, ensuring the alignment of HR practices with global business goals while adapting to regional needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Global HR Strategy: Implement and manage HR strategies aligned with the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization across global regions.
  • Regional HR Leadership: Act as the HR lead for South Africa while supporting EMEA and APAC teams
  • Talent Management: Drive global talent acquisition, performance management, succession planning, and leadership development programs in collaboration with local and regional teams.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR policies in all operating countries; manage employee relations matters globally with a fair, consistent, and risk-mitigating approach.
  • Organizational Development: Lead initiatives focused on employee engagement, culture, change management, and organizational effectiveness.
  • HR Analytics & Reporting: Leverage data and analytics to assess HR performance, support business decisions, and measure the impact of people strategies utilizing the Paylocity HRIS platform.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of HR experience with at least 5 years in a global HR leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of South African labor legislation, compliance and familiarity with international HR practices and legal frameworks.
  • Proven experience managing HR projects across multiple countries or regions.
  • Experience in change management, organizational development, and leading transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and execution.
  • Ability to work effectively across time zones, cultures, and complex organizational structures.

Requirements

Preferred Experience & Competencies:

  • Experience working in a large global organization for best practices.
  • Experience in small start ups where you are crafting HR from the ground up.
  • Certifications in HR.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, Paylocity experience a plus.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Strength in execution.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
