Clerk: Warehouse
Role Outline
To provide effective and efficient administrative support to Operations. Ensuring all records are aligned and accurate and documentation are kept on record. The role of a Warehouse Clerk is to work in conjunction with the manager - to provide an accurate checking process as detailed in the appropriate SOP. Service delivery - on time - accurately. Ensure customer service is the highest standard and that losses to the company are kept to a minimum. To maintain the integrity of the company at all times
Key Responsibilities
  • To report and record any non-conformity with regards to customer requirements
  • To timely report any faults/defects of warehouse equipment
  • Responsible for handling over the correct pallets documents
  • Responsible for handing over the correct document/invoices for the particular load to transport on time
  • Ensure that accurate customer record are kept as hard copies and such documentation is available
  • Compile the Delivery Report for the client on a daily basis
  • Assist with cycle counts and stock take
  • To ensure that all Delivery Notes filed
  • Verify loads once checked by the checker
  • Be actively involved in and support change initiatives
  • Perform administrative tasks in line with the SOP
  • To ensure compliance with all legislative and site policies and to ensure all relevant site processes and procedures are adhered to - and which would include Health and Safety requisites
  • Organize and collect stationary needed for the department and to submit weekly consumable counts
  • To work within operating areas as determined by management and performing ADHOC duties as and when required to meet the needs of the business
  • Check if loads are put away correctly by the RT Operators
  • Verify and ensure accurate POD's, and Pallet slips before sign-off
  • To report accurate and timely information to Management
  • To build relationships throughout the supply chain e.g. Outbound Clerks, Hauliers, Customers, Depots and Customer Service Consultants
  • Housekeeping
  • Conform and promote awareness to staff on ISO 9001, ISO 22716, ISO 13485 and regulatory requirements associated with the QMS

Qualifications & Experience
  • Matric
  • 3 - 4 years administration experience
  • Computer Literacy
  • Communication Skills
  • Ability to work within a rapidly changing environment
  • Deadline driven
  • Administrative knowledge and skills
  • Accurate data capturing
  • Attention to detail
  • Good written and communication skills
  • 1 to 2 years Logistics/Warehousing experience
  • Enforcement of Health and Safety procedures and identify hazards
  • Achieve work targets and is willing to take on additional roles/responsibilities
  • Ability to work under pressure
