Payroll Review

Review the preparation, processing, and distribution of accurate and timely payroll for all employees. Ensure deductions for taxes, benefits, garnishments, and other payroll-related items have been processed correctly. Ensure compliance with regulations regarding taxes and reporting.

People Management

Lead and manage the payroll team, providing training and development. Assign tasks and monitor the progress of payroll-related activities. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

Compliance and Reporting

Stay updated on payroll tax laws and compliance requirements, ensuring the company adheres to all applicable laws. Ensure accurate reporting for tax filings and other required submissions. Prepare and review payroll-related reports for management. Analyse payroll reports and interpreting data to deliver strategic organisational improvements.

Process and System Management

Work with the Pay Space and HRIS team to review, improve and implement new processes and software solutions that will enhance the performance of the payroll team, eliminating manual work. Ensure ongoing review of workflow processes that will enhance efficiency. Ensure data security and confidentiality regarding payroll information.

Employee Support

Address payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner. Resolve discrepancies and issues related to pay, deductions, and other payroll concerns. Provide guidance to employees on payroll-related topics.

Payroll Audits and Reconciliations

Work with auditors and external authorities during audits or investigations. Coordinate audit requests and review the output to ensure the accuracy of payroll and compliance with internal policies and regulations.

Tax and Benefit Coordination

Work closely with HR and accounting departments to ensure correct integration of benefits and taxes in payroll calculations. Coordinate with external parties to ensure proper tax filings and payments.
