RCL FOODS is on the hunt for a visionary Digital & Media Growth Executive to spearhead our digital marketing evolution. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to shape the future of how we connect with millions of consumers across content, commerce, and media.


This role is based in Durban and will report to the Marketing Director.

Duties & Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

As the Digital & Media Growth Executive, you’ll be at the forefront of our marketing transformation, driving integration across:

  • StudioX – In-House Creative & Community Management

Lead the strategic use of StudioX as a creative and martech powerhouse.

Oversee collaboration between StudioX, digital commerce, brand, and customer marketing teams.

Champion the use of marketing technology platforms like QR codes, Data platforms and WhatsApp integration

Ensure consistent asset creation and management across all channels using the Asset Bank.

Build internal capability to brief, collaborate, and optimise creative turnaround times.


  • Digital & E-Commerce – Content to Engage & Sell

Own and drive the digital commerce strategy across business units, platforms, and categories.

Align digital content, performance marketing, and e-commerce for unified messaging and measurable impact.

Equip teams with knowledge of retail media, digital shelf optimisation, and conversion strategies.

Foster a culture of using AI and personalization tools to enhance user experience and conversion.

Oversee website strategy, UX, and deployment, ensuring websites are brand aligned and mobile first.

Activate a robust first-party data strategy in collaboration with media and digital teams.

Drive accountability for performance across all owned and paid digital platforms.


  • Media – Strategic Oversight

Provide strategic leadership in shaping paid media strategy across traditional, digital, and emerging channels.

Build internal capabilities to evaluate media performance, ROI, and efficiency.

Establish strong media governance processes, including performance tracking, reviews, and reporting.

Ensure integrated media planning that aligns with campaign and brand objectives.

Guide teams on managing media agency relationships for optimal collaboration and results.

Minimum Requirements

What You’ll Need:

Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Digital, Business, or related field.

8–12 years experience in digital marketing and e-commerce, media strategy, or integrated marketing in an FMCG and agency / studio environment.

Proven leadership in cross-functional teams and agency partnerships.

Experience working with cross functional marketing teams, external media or digital agencies (e.g. media buying, performance marketing)

Strategic thinking, executive presence, and data-driven decision-making.
