The Associate Deal Desk Analyst is an entry level subject matter expert, responsible for learning the skills to provide efficient support to the sales and technical delivery teams.
This role works as the primary point of contact amongst various business areas, and constructing less how non-standard and less complex deals should work.
The Associate Deal Desk Analyst typically makes sure that deals are correctly constructed, assists teams to with best pricing to maximize revenue, and addresses the details involved in a non-standard contract process to make certain the deal is completed promptly
Key responsibilities:
- Provides support with the construction and maintenance of a master view of deal pipeline information.
- Assists with collecting, compiling and validating pipeline information received from internal stakeholders.
- Assists with the provision of periodic updates to internal teams for visibility on upcoming service activation requests.
- Assists with the analysis of pipeline information at regular intervals.
- Assists with documenting and providing analysis to relevant managers to derive resource planning for supported technology.
- Receives detailed instruction to identify demand of new technologies from analysis.
- Works closely with internal stakeholders to do a preliminary of resource sizing for new technologies.
- Assists with the review effort sizing with internal teams before submitting to internal Commercial team for further analysis of deal viability.
- Supports Deal Desk activities, which impact quota setting, bookings attainment, and deal structuring.
- Works closely with the Sales team on deal structure and quoting, advises the team on alternative contract options, and/or value propositioning to help drive deal closure.
- Provides general assistance and advice on common deal questions and Quote to Cash process questions.
- Works closely with impacted parties to identify acceptable options to facilitate deal closure.
- Takes direction from Sales Operations and Sales Systems teams to facilitate process and system improvements.

- Displays ability to partner with Go-to-Market teams and other cross functional departments.
- Some understanding of revenue recognition rules.
- Displays ability to be organized and being customer-focused with strong attention to detail.
- Good communicator, self-aware, transparent, professional, and open to feedback.
- Developing ability to multitask and prioritize at times of high volume.
- Some quantitative skills and proficiency in sales tools and software.
Academic qualifications and certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or a related field.
Required experience:
- Entry level Deal Desk, Order Management, Finance Operations, Sales Operations or Pricing experience preferred.
- Entry level experience in Direct and Channel Sales model is highly desirable.
