Scope of Work / Key Responsibilities:
Core Litigation Administration Tasks
Administer and process litigation and arbitration case files within prescribed timelines, especially for non-compliance with arbitration awards.
Draft and submit Section 143 applications and writs of execution as per legal procedures.
Liaise with the CCMA , Labour Court , and other institutions on Section 143 matters.
Refer signed writs of execution to the Sheriff’s office and track execution progress and outcomes.
Monitor returns from Sheriffs and follow up to ensure efficient execution and case resolution.
Communicate with attorneys, labour consultants, or employers to explain settlement procedures and provide case updates.
Provide walk-in clients with accurate information about their case progress.
Support Functions
Coordinate with relevant departments for the processing of payments on resolved matters.
Ensure prompt and professional handling of all correspondence and follow-ups.
Maintain accurate statistics and logs for ongoing and finalized litigation cases.
Work with Document Management to file closed cases systematically.
Submit monthly reports to supervisors outlining case activity, progress, challenges, and statistics.
Perform general office administration tasks such as stationery control and filing.
Manage and utilize allocated resources efficiently and responsibly.
Required Competencies:
Legal Knowledge
Understanding of applicable Labour Legislation.
Familiarity with Bargaining Council Collective Agreements (where applicable).
Soft Skills & Personal Attributes
Assertive with sound conflict management skills.
Strong planning and time management abilities.
Patient, attentive, and self-driven.
Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Honest, reliable, and professional.

Qualifications and Experience:
Qualifications
Minimum Education: Matric (Grade 12)
Preferred Qualification: NQF Level 6 in Labour Relations, Human Resources, or related discipline.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of solid administrative experience.
Experience in a legal or litigation-related environment is an added advantage.
