Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Engagement

Develop and maintain collaborative and consultative relationships with internal stakeholders, community groups, delivery partners, and third parties.

Plan and execute stakeholder engagement activities across projects to understand concerns, gather input, and foster positive relationships.

Promote open communication and participative project delivery through formal and informal channels.

Facilitate the integration of stakeholder input into project planning and implementation.

Ensure effective communication lines exist to support timely decision-making and issue resolution.

Environmental Management

Plan, implement, and monitor organization-wide environmental strategies, policies, and objectives.

Conduct research on environmental issues and industry developments; apply findings to inform strategies and training.

Lead initiatives to improve sustainability, including waste reduction, recycling, and efficient resource use.

Monitor environmental compliance and prepare regulatory reports and internal audits as required.

Provide staff training on environmental policies, practices, and awareness.

Represent the organization at environmental forums, public hearings, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.

Operational Compliance & Improvement

Identify compliance and operational gaps, propose corrective measures, and ensure alignment with governance standards.

Implement change management processes to support continuous improvement across systems, policies, and communication.

Analyze performance and trends on a monthly basis, incorporating stakeholder feedback and business data to identify areas for innovation and enhanced efficiency.

Foster cross-functional alignment and ensure a consistent understanding of environmental and stakeholder-related objectives.

Education & Experience Requirements:
Grade 12 with formal qualifications in Human Resources, Public Relations, or related fields.

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Policy, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a related role (e.g., Project Manager, Environmental Analyst).

Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, public communication, and relationship management.

Strong understanding of provincial/territorial environmental policies and sustainable technologies.

Demonstrated ability to create, lead, and implement compliance and engagement strategies.
