Management of the Sales Region
- Achieve regional targets for the month, quarter and year.
- Communicate and track actual sales versus the monthly and quarterly consultant sales targets.
- Provide support and assist the consultants to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets through promotional activity, solution changes, new business activation and basket growth.
- Track and measure the successful conversion of pipeline into new accounts for region.
- Monitor and take corrective action where CIRO equipment is placed at customers with no sales.
- Track and monitor minimum off take monitors by consultant by customers
- Approve all CIRO connects after doing commercial and business importance assessments, any connect requiring motivation for approval needs to be done via the Sales Manager.
- Actively involved in monitoring of call cycles for the sales team to ensure effective calling and service delivery to existing customers.
- Align with national sales strategy, ensuring consistent execution of priorities, sales targets, and customer engagement standards across all channels.
- Conduct regular one-on-one reviews, sales meetings, and field visits to drive accountability, identify development needs, and ensure team motivation.
- Evaluate and approve all events based on commercial and customer service importance.
- Successful asset verification process completed by the end of Quarter 3.
- Provide management, operational reviews and performance management to sales consultants.
- Ensure compliance to National Brands policies and procedures.
- Manage regional requests for free and sample stock in the region.
- Manage the use of company vehicles and assets.
- Accountable for the daily running of the Regional Office, sales budget and expenses.
- Provide incremental volume increase forecasts on products to the Sales Operations Manager Coastal.
- Create a rolling pipeline with clear turnaround timelines and growth expectation for new business.
- Create a technical pipeline forecast monthly.
- Provide planning inputs for quarterly business reviews, budget cycles, new equipment roll-outs and promotional calendars.
- Coordinate efforts between sales, supply chain, marketing, finance, and technical teams.
- Facilitate timely communication to resolve supply or service issues.
- Lead cross-functional meetings to drive accountability and process improvements.
- Coordinate with technical and training teams to support installations, maintenance, and customer training.
- Ensure the consultants receive adequate training on coffee skill and systems to meet their work outputs.
- Implementation of regional promotional campaigns.
- Actively assist in group key account roll outs and activations and promotions.
- Execute promotions in line with customer expectations and brand standards.
- Monitor promotional effectiveness and provide real-time feedback.
- Ensure visibility and compliance of trade promotions through sales field audits.
- Grade 12 / matric
- Relevant tertiary qualification / Business related Diploma or similar
- Minimum 4- 6 years’ experience in a management role within the Food Service Channel
- Minimum 5 years coffee industry experience is essential
- Minimum 4 years technical understanding of the technical demands of coffee equipment
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in customer service management
- Minimum 2 years’ experience of dealing with Unions - advantageous
- Minimum 2 years supply chain exposure
- Experience within the Out of Home Channel - Business & Industry, Forecourts, Hospitality, Restaurants, Office Direct or Quick Service Restaurants
- Leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams, including sales consultants, supply chain, technical specialists and marketing and tele-sales departments
- Experience of Microsoft Office and SAP system
- Technical knowledge and understanding of equipment, automatic machines, vending machines and traditional espresso machines
- Data analytics and reports - Advanced proficiency in CRM platforms, Microsoft Excel, and business intelligence and reporting tools
