Incomar is looking for a motivated individual to perform detailed electronic designs for avionics flight, mission and payload management computing platforms. This includes electronic hardware & PCB design, hardware testing, verification and validation and integration of the hardware into the various systems and platforms.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering.

Required Skills And Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in electronic hardware design.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in high-speed digital PCB design.
  • Experience in switch-mode power supply PCB design.
  • Hardware testing, debugging and qualification skills.
  • Hardware, firmware and embedded software integration skills.
  • Hardware development experience applying RTCA DO-254 guidelines.
  • Proficient in requirements management using Cradle/Jama/Doors or anything similar.
  • Configuration and product lifecycle management experience.
  • Proficient in use of design & simulation packages (e.g. Altium, Ansys SiWave & IcePak, MATLAB, LT-Spice, PSpice, MS-Visio).
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office.

Preferred Skills And Experience

  • Military, Defence Industry and Avionics development.
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout design using Altium Designer.
  • Applying high-speed PCB design guidelines that includes component placement, controlled impedance routing, length matching and the use of reference planes.
  • Performing signal & power integrity analysis using Ansys SiWave.
  • Performing thermal analysis on PCB level using Ansys Icepak.
  • Knowledge or experience in hardware environmental qualification to military and civilian standards (RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, etc).
  • Knowledge or experience in using FPGA’s & MPSoC’s in electronic designs.
  • Experience in applying version control using GIT or anything similar.

Responsibilities

  • Performing hardware item design activities, including the electronic, mechanical and thermal design aspects.
  • Conforming to the hardware development process of the company.
  • Writing and maintaining specifications for the hardware item.
  • Writing and maintaining hardware interface and design documentation.
  • Perform, execute and document hardware compliance, verification, validation and qualification activities.
  • Writing and maintaining production documentation.
  • Configuration and version management of hardware design items.
  • Ensuring that high level requirements and applicable standards are met.
  • Assisting with cost and time estimates for engineering activities.
  • Planning and executing tasks within agreed budgets and timescales.
  • Contribute towards the improvement and elaboration of hardware development processes & tools.
  • Apply sound ethical principles.
