Senior Sales Ambassador (Johannesburg)
Babylonstoren is seeking an energetic and experienced Senior Sales Ambassador to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate must be based in Johannesburg and requires a combination of strategic insight, excellent communication skills and a passion for premium wine, agricultural and lifestyle products.
Requirements
- A completed National Senior Certificate qualification (matric / Grade 12)
- A diploma or degree in marketing, sales, hospitality, tourism, brand management or oenology (preferred)
- At least 3–5 years’ experience in a sales or customer-facing role, preferably in the wine, tourism or premium brand sector
- Proven experience in customer service and relationship building at a senior level
- Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans and English
- Proficient in MS Office, sales systems and CRM software
- Must possess a valid driver’s licence and own transport
- Professional appearance and excellent etiquette
- Exceptional integrity and confidentiality
- Customer-centric mindset with strong negotiation skills
- Self-driven, proactive and solution-oriented
- Passionate about wine, farm life, and sustainable lifestyle products
- Adaptable and comfortable in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment
- Available to travel nationally
Responsibilities
- Actively involved in direct and indirect sales of Babylonstoren products (wine, deli products)
- Welcome and serve customers in a professional, knowledgeable and friendly manner
- Arrange and facilitate wine tastings, private tours and special customer experiences
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with customers, corporate partners and distributors
- Represent Babylonstoren at functions, festivals and trade events
- Gather market intelligence and provide feedback to relevant departments
- Liaise with internal teams (hospitality, garden, wine, marketing) to deliver integrated customer experiences
- Manage administration, sales reports and customer databases where applicable
- Serve and grow the Johannesburg
