Electrical Revit Draughtsperson

Responsibilities

Our client in the consulting engineering sector, is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Revit Draughtsperson to join their Durban office. This position focuses on delivering high-quality electrical draughting and design support across a range of building services projects, including commercial, residential, and infrastructure developments. The successful candidate will be involved in Revit and CADDY-based documentation, design coordination, and multidisciplinary collaboration, and will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Performing detailed electrical services draughting using Revit and CAD (CADDY) software.
• Preparing electrical services designs and documentation.
• Attending site meetings, coordination meetings, design discussions, and project reviews.
• Conducting site inspections to ensure design compliance and installation quality.
• Liaising with supply authorities and external consultants for project coordination.
• Coordinating internal project efforts across departments.
• Submitting required reports and project documentation as needed.
• Maintaining professional client and stakeholder relationships to support the company's reputation and objectives.
• Traveling as required for project-related responsibilities, both within South Africa and internationally.
• Adhering to company policies, procedures, and corporate standards, including dress code and timekeeping.
  
  

Requirements

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a Multi-Disciplinary Drawing Office Practice Certificate (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years' experience using Revit for electrical draughting.
• Proficiency in CADDY and AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles and technical documentation.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
