About the Role
As our Finance Manager, you will oversee the financial health and sustainability of our business operations. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage financial aspects of service delivery contracts, drive risk management, and support strategic decision-making.
You’ll work closely with leadership teams across Aurik and play a vital role in ensuring financial discipline, reporting accuracy, and long-term growth. The Finance Manager will also play a central role in ensuring the financial integrity and performance of the company, working across departments to align financial strategies with operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Budgeting
- Lead the development of annual budgets in collaboration with department heads.
- Monitor and manage budgets throughout the year, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Prepare rolling forecasts to support business agility and strategic responsiveness.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Generate and analyse monthly management reports to track financial performance against targets.
- Conduct detailed financial analyses to assess the profitability of projects, departments, and services.
- Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to senior management based on financial trends and performance data.
Cashflow Management
- Maintain accurate cash flow forecasts and manage the day-to-day liquidity of the business.
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable to ensure healthy working capital.
- Liaise with the operations and sales teams to align cash flow with project timelines and client billing schedules.
Cost Control & Efficiency
- Review and analyse cost structures across departments and service lines.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and optimise expenditure without compromising service quality.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to monitor and control project-related costs.
Procurement Oversight
- Provide financial input in procurement decisions, ensuring value for money in supplier engagements.
- Evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate terms, and monitor supplier performance from a financial perspective.
- Oversee the financial implications of contracts and vendor agreements.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor a small finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Set performance objectives, provide coaching, and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Identify training needs and support professional development of finance team members.
Systems and Processes
- Enhance financial systems, processes, and reporting frameworks to improve efficiency and decision-making.
- Support digital transformation efforts related to financial operations and data analytics.
- Ensure that financial data integrity is maintained across platforms and tools used in the business.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with operational, business development, and service delivery teams to support financial planning and resource allocation.
- Participate in internal project teams to ensure financial considerations are integrated into planning and execution.
- Provide support for pricing models, client proposals, and new product/service rollouts.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Admin (Honours or professional qualification preferred).
- 5+ years’ experience in a financial management role, preferably in the services sector.
- Experience with internal audits is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills, financial systems knowledge, and attention to detail.
- Confident working with multiple stakeholders and data sources.
- Excellent leadership and team development abilities.
- Experience working with CRM and ERP systems such as Vtiger, Xero, or Sage.
- Demonstrated ability to create and interpret complex financial models and forecasts
