Job Description
Collaborate in preparing yearly plans for specific specialties, with a focus on strategic specialties, including budget allocation, tracking, and event management.
Develop relevant professional education events to address Ethicon's needs in South Africa.
Organize and fully execute Professional Education activities based on Marketing strategy and the overall CEESAT Prof Ed strategy.
Manage selected South Africa national and local training centers.
Take responsibility for establishing new Centers of Excellence or acquiring new faculty when necessary.
Foster relationships with key stakeholders such as healthcare institutions, professional associations, and academic institutions to identify collaborative opportunities and support the implementation of professional education initiatives.
Monitor Health Care trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes relevant to professional education in the medical field, providing insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with marketing and business managers to ensure event content aligns with key messaging and ideal faculty selection, facilitating the delivery of desired messaging.
Evaluate the effectiveness of professional education programs through pre- and post-event assessments, participant surveys, and outcome measurements, utilizing insights to continuously improve program quality and relevance.
Represent Ethicon at industry conferences, symposiums, and other relevant events to network, share insights, and stay abreast of industry developments.
Stay informed about emerging technologies and innovative teaching methodologies to incorporate into professional education programs, enhancing effectiveness and engagement.
Coordinate with Business Compliance specialists on administrative processes such as HCC, ARIBA, e-Marketplace, bookings, invoices, and logistics.
Assist in event registration and managing HCP registrations in registration systems.
Work with Business Compliance and Legal representatives on contracts and legal processes.
Ensure full compliance of ProfEd events and processes with the help of HCC representatives and Business Compliance specialists.
Utilize event management platforms for management and tracking (CVENT, Tracking Files).
Analyze post-event feedback from customers, field force, and training establishments, and implement suitable improvement measures.
Communicate ProfEd events calendar to Sales teams through emails, newsletters, and meetings.
Review faculty presentations before each event and initiate the copy review process when necessary.
Ensure faculty are equipped with relevant, high-quality, and up-to-date materials.
Contribute to Professional Education PR channels with data and success stories.

Requirements
- Previous experience in medical education, access market, sales or pharmaceutical promotion is a strong advantage
- Master’s degree
- Confident user of MS Office
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Flexible, eager to learn, hands-on, motivated and stress-resistant
- Ability to build strong, positive relationships
- Genuine passion for improving patients lives and making things happen
