Role Purpose

Provision of meaningful insights to Sales Management to successfully analyse, enrich and package client management tactics for optimal adviser and advice outcomes. Responsible for working with key business stakeholders to design and develop semantic layers used for end user reporting, KPI's and analytics capability. Lead the enablement of business strategy through the architectural design of client insight definitions to make meaningful decisions through the provision of data analytics and insight. Develop innovative BI solutions, including BI dashboards and applications, as well as make recommendations for continuous improvement efforts that enable business objectives.

Requirements

  • BSc Statistics or Computer Science
  • Postgraduate preferred
  • BCom /Computer Science/BSc Data Analytics
  • 5 – 8 years' experience in the Data/MIS industry
  • Solid knowledge of Data Warehousing
  • Excellent insight and understanding of various Front-End systems
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry preferred
  • At least five years' experience working as part of a reporting team using a modern reporting platform such as Qlikview, Business Objects in both an analytical and development capacity.
  • At least 2 years experience related to client data and insights
  • At least two years' experience administering a reporting platform.

Duties & Responsibilities

Internal Process:

  • Partner closely with the Momentum Financial Planning Exco to capture essence of executive decision making and to provide meaningful insights to manage clients effectively
  • Monitor strategic and operational decisions and impact pertaining to client management strategies
  • Provide systemic feedback to MFP management to streamline decisions in securing achievement of business objectives
  • Monitor business outputs, provide feedback regarding implementation with regards to strategic objectives
  • Retrieve and present required information as required by CFO and COO for decision making and reporting purposes.
  • Cross functional business and segment insight to enable improvement of business strategy
  • Working with different business areas to implement fit-for purpose business intelligence visualisation
  • Working with the implementation environment to ensure the availability of all relevant data sets
  • Design business insight definition for; client outcomes
  • Engage with the business and stakeholders to understand their business intelligence requirements and challenges
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing business intelligence solutions
  • Ensure adequate infrastructure and resourcing
  • Keep abreast of data structures and data within the data warehouse.
  • Design relevant data models needed for BI application or dashboard
  • Work with the relevant warehouse teams to assist with additional requirements to deliver BI applications
  • Effective metadata management to enable consistence and transparency on all data assets
  • Developing and implementing plans for improving business intelligence in BPP
  • Working with business stakeholders to define business KPI's and develop semantic layers to support these KPIs.
  • Working with power users of the reporting tool to advise on best practices and best use of semantic layers.
  • Working with the data quality manager and IT compliance managers to develop data quality reporting
  • Managing end-user access to semantic layers.
  • Working with business analysts and project managers to develop and refine reporting requirements
  • Continuously develop and improve algorithms that assist in forming adviser and client relationships
  • Introduce effective methodology to track the outcome of clients allocated to advisers
