Job Purpose

The Head: Strategy & Operations leads the integrated and experience marketing strategy and operations initiatives aligned to the CIB marketing strategy. Leverages integrated channel marketing knowledge to create guardrails and benchmarks. This entails working closely with other chapters (i.e., Strategy, Digital Marketing, Media, Sponsorships and Events and Direct Marketing). The Head: Strategy & Operations will support the Executive Head Marketing CIB and the heads of marketing for CIB.

Job Responsibilities

Establish Integrated Marketing And Experience Guardrails

  • Develop and Establish Integrated Marketing and Experience Guardrails for strategy and operations.
  • Tailor and develop data driven KPIs in the measurement of strategic objectives.
  • Develop effective reporting to enable better decision making across marketing functions and into the COE.
  • Establish best practice in the development of strategy and support the head of marketing with the 3-year marketing strategy process.
  • Develop integrated marketing customer and value-oriented objectives and metrics to establish continuous improvement and guardrails.
  • Establish guardrails and governance framework to ensure adherence to process, compliance and regulatory requirements are communicated and complied with.
  • Support the heads of marketing by ensuring operational plans are in place for all marketing activity for CIB missions, and that the COE is delivering on time /in full.

Provide Support To Integrated Marketing And Experience Chapters

  • Consult and provide advice on best practice from a strategy and operational delivery perspective.
  • Monitor data across chapters and inter-agency teams, identify improvement opportunities and remedial actions and communicate these across chapters and missions.

Chapter contribution

  • Participate in the development of the key strategic and operational initiatives for the overall planning, and performance management, monitoring and tracking of effectiveness and to better manage risks for the Integrated Marketing and Experience centre of excellence.

Analyse reporting for continuous improvement

  • Leverage insights from missions to determine Enterprise ROMI and align to 3-year business plan.
  • Track and measure ROMI.
  • Gather, analysing and interpret mission insights to feed into strategy development.

People management

  • Provide support to the Marketing Heads delivering on the various strategic and operational initiatives.

Oversight over operational delivery across the team and agencies.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

  • Diploma
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

Preferred Qualification

Post graduate degree in Marketing or Commerce

Minimum Experience Level

7 - 10 years experience in developing a marketing strategy and managing operational delivery
