External Sales Engineer Mechanical Seals

EDUCATION: Diploma/B-Tech Mechanical Engineering qualification or related field

REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 3 -5 years’ experience preferably in the pumping industry specializing in mechanical seals and

rotating equipment

Mechanical seal sales and application

Computer Literacy; (Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook, MS Project

SAP- advantageous

Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills

Customer centric

Ability to work well in a team and independently

Time management

Prioritise and meet deadlines

Ability to work under pressure, and as part of a team

Key Accountabilities

• Maintain good working relationship with existing customers, and develop new customers
• Knowledge of the design and operational requirements of mechanical seals, pumps and other rotating equipment
• Maintain regular, planned visits and communication with key customers in the area you support
• Conduct detailed product Demonstration to customer & generate enquiries for the product offered
• Provide technical support to customers and understand technicality of various sealing systems
• Educate customers on the quality features and uses of our products through the full use of KSB Pump and Valves marketing strategies
• Develop and implement marketing plans aligned with KSB Pumps and Valves sales objectives to support organizational goal
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure customers’ needs and expectations are met
• Able to work independently, efficiently and communicate productively with others
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to make sure customer needs are met
• Comply with and enforce all KSB Pumps & Valves (Pty) Ltd policies and procedures
• Carry out all other reasonable tasks that may be delegated from time to time
