This exclusive property offers an authentic luxury safari experience and requires a General Manager or dynamic Management Couple to oversee daily operations, guest relations, staff management, and business performance. The ideal candidate(s) will be solutions-driven, people-focused, and have strong operational oversight across hospitality departments.
Couples with complementary skill sets such as GM & Chef or GM & Guide are strongly encouraged to apply. A flair for marketing, content creation, and digital engagement would be an excellent bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
Full operational oversight of the lodge, including front of house, F&B, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest experience
Staff leadership, HR coordination, training, and scheduling
Budgeting, stock control, financial reporting, and cost management
Guest relations and hosting – ensuring seamless, memorable guest experiences
Coordination with the reserve team regarding conservation and activity scheduling
Quality control and operational excellence across departments
If applicable, guiding guests on safaris or overseeing kitchen operations
Assisting with marketing efforts, content creation, and guest communication (bonus skill)
Package:
Salary: R40,000 – R60,000 (combined, depending on experience)
Live-in with accommodation provided
Meals and other standard lodge benefits included
Opportunity to work in a leading Eastern Cape safari destination
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior lodge or hospitality management role
Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team
Strong administrative, financial, and organisational abilities
Hospitality or culinary qualification (for Chef applicants)
FGASA and PDP (for Guide applicants)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Tech-savvy and comfortable with reservation and stock systems
A genuine passion for the bush and sustainable tourism
Between 5 - 7 Years
