What We Are Looking For
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Provide support and active assistance to the Executive Manager: Logistics on major functions and projects of supply chain logistics at the Boksburg site.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Provide support and active assistance to the Executive Manager: Logistics on major functions and projects of supply chain logistics at the Boksburg site.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Manage and coordinate the end-to-end flow of outsourced materials.
- Analyse, design and implement efficient supply chain logistics processes (inventory, orders, material handling, warehousing, packaging, inbound and outbound flow).
- Manage fleet and coordinate transport of finished and semi-finished products.
- Review contractual commitments, customer specifications, or related information to determine logistics or support requirements.
- Determine logistics support requirements, such as facility details, staffing needs, or safety or maintenance plans.
- Propose logistics solutions for internal and external customers.
- Evaluate effectiveness of current or future logistical processes.
- Analyze or interpret logistics data involving customer service, forecasting, procurement. manufacturing, inventory, transportation, or warehousing.
- Identify cost-reduction or process-improvement logistic opportunities.
- Develop specifications for equipment, tools, facility layouts, or material-handling systems.
- Identify or develop business rules or standard operating procedures to streamline operating processes.
POST REQUIREMENTS:
- BSc / BEng in either Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or Project Management.
- Experience in Project Management would be advantageous.
- Code B or C (Code 8 or 10) driver’s license would be advantageous.
- Computer Literacy is a must (MS Office Package)
- Good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Good problem solving and analytical skills.
- Good planning and organizational skills – time management.
- Proven ability to take responsibility and high level of integrity.
