Skinny laMinx is a textile and homewares brand in Cape Town, founded in 2008. 


We’re looking for someone to join our small collaborative team to do the following:

  • Manage our Showroom Store and facilitate in-person sales.
  • Manage and facilitate online and email sales.
  • Prepare online orders for shipping.
  • Book courier collection for online and wholesale orders.
  • Assist with admin around our V&A Waterfront store.
  • Assist with general admin tasks.
  • Office management.

You need these Skills And Experience

  • Solid experience in retail sales.
  • Good general computer literacy.
  • Solid experience in using an online retail platform (preferably WooCommerce).
  • Some experience with inventory management systems (preferably DEAR / Cin7Core)
  • Warm and friendly communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A thorough, detail-orientated approach to work.
  • A well-developed ability to multi-task


Your key responsibilities:

Studio Store sales, including:

  • Assisting customers with retail sales.
  • Merchandising our studio store.
  • Maintaining stock levels in our studio store.
  • Managing orders & communication for custom requests.
  • Performing stocktakes.


Online sales including:

  • E-commerce and email customer communications.
  • E-commerce and email order processing, including invoicing and confirming payments.
  • Packing online orders accurately and beautifully.


Logistics and shipping:

  • Shipping of online sales with courier partners.
  • Upkeep of shipping and tracking admin and records.
  • Sales tracking and troubleshooting.
  • Communications with our courier partners.


V&A store support, including:

  • Maintaining and communicating shift schedules.
  • Ensuring V&A staff has shift replacement when needed.
  • Covering at the V&A on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Occasional ad-hoc V&A-related tasks.


Office management and general admin support, including

  • Ordering office or packaging supplies.
  • Petty cash management.
