About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Manager / Senior Accountant to support a small but growing real estate investment company based in the southeastern United States. The ideal candidate will play a hybrid role that combines core accounting responsibilities with asset management oversight — ensuring the accurate reconciliation of fragmented data across multiple properties while helping drive investment performance.
This role is perfect for someone with strong bookkeeping and financial operations skills, preferably with experience in property or real estate accounting. You'll work closely with the founding team and liaise with third-party property managers and internal AP/AR support to ensure clarity, compliance, and cost tracking across all holdings.

Compensation
- Latin America: $1,500 - $2,000/month USD
- South Africa: $1,800 - $2,300/month USD
- Philippines: $1,300 - $1,800/month USD

You'll work closely with the founding team and liaise with third-party property managers and internal AP/AR support to ensure clarity, compliance, and cost tracking across all holdings.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books across multiple U.S.-based real estate holdings
- Oversee monthly reconciliations of income and expense reports, ensuring data integrity across third-party systems
- Work closely with an offshore AP/AR team to ensure timely payments and collections
- Support investor reporting and monthly/quarterly financial summaries
- Assist in cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning
- Identify anomalies, flag overspending, and propose cost-control measures
- Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and internal reporting standards
- Provide asset management support, tracking performance metrics across properties
- Support ad hoc financial analysis or reporting as needed by the leadership team
- 5+ years of professional accounting or financial management experience
- Experience in real estate, property, or asset management environments is a strong plus
- Proficiency with accounting platforms (QuickBooks Online preferred) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills; meticulous attention to detail
- Experience working with remote teams or international clients
- Comfortable working across time zones with overlapping U.S. business hours
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- A self-starter who can thrive in a lean, fast-moving environment
- Familiarity with U.S. GAAP or other international accounting standards
- Experience preparing investor or stakeholder reports
- Prior experience in managing third-party relationships or remote accounting teams
