High-Level Overview

Client:
The client is a Benin-based infrastructure and engineering company focused on the deployment of LED and solar solutions. Through its large-scale solarization and electrification initiatives, they are working to deliver sustainable energy access across Benin and the wider West African region. The organization is committed to high standards of operational excellence, local capacity building, and long-term infrastructure development.

Project:
The client is launching a nationwide initiative to solarize telecom towers in Benin. To guide this effort, they are seeking a Commercial & Marketing Specialist to develop go-to-market messaging strategies, enhance community awareness, and manage stakeholder engagement for long-term growth and visibility.

Role and Responsibilities

Role: Commercial & Marketing Specialist
Direct Report: CEO
Candidates Required: 1

Key Deliverables:
  • Develop and implement go-to-market messaging and branding strategies for the solarization project
  • Coordinate communications with telecom partners, regulators, and local media
  • Create high-impact investor and donor engagement materials (pitch decks, reports, case studies)
  • Design and manage customer-facing documentation and feedback mechanisms
  • Organize awareness campaigns to drive project adoption and local stakeholder buy-in

Requirements

Experience Required:
  • 5+ years in commercial strategy or marketing, preferably in infrastructure/energy sectors
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership management
  • Background in Francophone West Africa strongly preferred
Technical Requirements:
  • Exceptional bilingual writing and presentation skills (French/English)
  • Ability to translate technical solar concepts into compelling messaging
  • Experience with investor relations and donor reporting
  • Familiarity with social media management and community
