Profile Summary
Provides Physical Access Control technical expertise to support field sales, inside sales and channel partners in closing deals with current and prospective customers in the Southern/East/West African markets, South Africa in particular. Will be the primary technical resource for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and being the product advocate for readers, credentials, controllers, Apple/google wallet solution and Mobile access. Articulates PACS technology and product positioning to both business and technical user. Identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process; establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle Duties and Responsibilities Include the following, other duties may be assigned. Develop, present, and respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

- Work with teams to convey customer requirements and devise new ways of putting HID products to use
- Cooperate with Engineering on specific product or solution custom requirements (CPO) & developments
- Identify sales opportunities and support them to achieve sales plans
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, promote the sale of company products, and provide sales support
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers
- Support the team at exhibition & events and provide first level technical training to new partners when required
- Document account activities, generate reports, and keep records of business transactions with customers and suppliers
- Provide technical and non-technical support and services to customers or other staff members regarding product.
- Provide technical pre-sale support such as product configuration, product inquiries, POC and system integration support
- Provide advice to customers, especially for integration projects
- Keep informed on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the latest productline development
- Demonstrated Access Control experience and technical aptitude,
- 7+ years relevant experience in Access Control technical/sales role. Experience in the South African market strongly desired
- Good public speaking skills and an ability to present and communicate in a clear and concise fashion
- Ability to quickly learn new industries, markets, and technologies
- Experience working independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong interpersonal communication skills Knowledge of and experience with MEA markets and critical end users in key strategic verticals
- Ability to work with and deal with various languages and cultures Education and/or Experience
- College degree in Engineering/Computer Science is strongly preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc. Computer Skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc. Work Requirements
- Travel and fieldwork including international travel will be required, therefore the employee must possess or can acquire valid travel authorization Work Environment
- in addition to the country of focus you will have to support other countries 100% remote covering MEA business hours
- Present directly to customers on behalf of HID and/or our Partners and can understand requirements and present the appropriate solution from our product set to meet and exceed the requirements and expectations
- Aid other departments in the company when required (support, Professional Services, Product Marketing, Product Management, etc.) You will provide technical leadership, market intelligence and strategic direction on behalf of your accounts to internal stakeholders such as Product Marketing and Sales leadership
- On Site support during Technical inquiries and POC.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a customer centric approach.
- Passionate about apps and things, how things talk to each other and how they do that in a secure way.
- A willingness to learn and develop knowledge concerning regulatory standards applicable to our business.
- Good communication, interpersonal and intercultural skillset, able to communicate and act on different hierarchy levels effectively

- Experience in custom data configuration.
- Experience in Apple/ google wallet solutions.
- Must be legally eligible to work in South Africa.

- Experience with smart card readers, cryptography, and security practices

- Demonstrated understanding of smart card protocols and APIs.
- Cyber Security framework experience (NIST, OWASP, SOC2 etc.).
