Role Purpose
The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in understanding and optimising the Wealth Platform Operations and Oversight processes, encompassing Fund Administration, Personal Share Portfolios, Trade Desk Support, and vendor relationship management. The successful candidate will support the Enablement team by identifying opportunities to streamline, simplify, and enhance end-to-end processes and controls in a sustainable and scalable manner. This role is crucial in documenting detailed requirements, driving continuous improvement, delivering new capabilities workflow that ensure success in both key business transformation projects and ongoing initiatives.

Requirements
- Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a business analysis role within the financial services industry.
- Demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders to understand and optimise business processes.
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
- Proven track record of simplifying complex processes and developing lasting solutions.
- Proficiency in business process mapping tools such as Visio, Blueprint, Bizagi, or similar.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong knowledge of workflow systems such as Agile Point will be advantageous.
- Relevant experience in Investment Operations is advantageous.
- Knowledge of PowerBI or similar data visualization tools is beneficial.
Gathering requirements
- Conduct detailed business analysis, engaging stakeholders through workshops, meetings, research, and interviews to gather and understand business requirements.
- Develop a deep understanding of current business operations and the strategic direction for future domains.
- Analyse proposed technology solutions to assess their impact on business processes and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT professionals, other business analysts, and leadership, to deliver effective solutions.
- Document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for technical teams.
- Identify and address business challenges, proposing effective solutions that align with strategic goals.
- Assist in the design of operating systems and applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Support the business in identifying and mitigating risks associated with systems and processes.
- Work with IT and other functional teams to design and implement solutions that address identified business needs.
- Oversee the development and testing of new systems, processes, or enhancements to existing systems.
- Support the deployment of new processes and systems, including user training and change management activities.
- Design and implement automated workflow solutions.
- Produce comprehensive documentation, including flow charts, use cases, wireframes, and other materials that clarify business requirements and effectively communicate with various teams.
- Translate high-level business requirements into detailed solution specifications, ensuring stakeholder alignment and clear communication.
- Contribute to project planning, risk mitigation, and scope management for key initiatives and other projects.
- Analyse data to identify trends, performance issues, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that provide insights into operational performance and key metrics.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reporting activities.
- Manage small to medium-sized projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop project plans, track progress, and report on project status to stakeholders.
- Identify and manage risks associated with projects, escalating issues as necessary.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented solutions, recommending adjustments and improvements where necessary.
- Lead initiatives to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
- Monitor the performance of implemented solutions and make recommendations for further enhancements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business processes and systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
- Proficient in investigative and information-gathering techniques.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing a varied workload and prioritizing effectively.
- Proficiency in process mapping and documentation tools (e.g., Visio, Lucid chart, Bizagi).
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, PowerBI, Tableau).
- Project management skills with a focus on planning, organizing, and delivering results.
- Ability to work independently, cope with pressure, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
