Key Output

  • Perform basic cutting, grinding and welding operations.
  • Preparation for welding operations.
  • Preform specialized flux core welding on components in a fabrication environment.
  • Physically lift, keep in place and / or move up to 20kg or use appropriate lifting and slinging equipment for objects larger in size.
  • Clean and maintain facilities and equipment.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly workplace.

Qualification, Experience And Competencies

  • Grade12
  • Must be in position of a qualified welder trade certificate.
  • Must be familiarized with the Flux core welding producers.
  • Must be able to be trained and obtain coded welding certification in the applicable welding procedures.
  • Hot work certification.
  • Must have at least 5 years’ experience on welding procedures
  • Must be familiar with BWE rules, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to follow instructions and function under pressure and without direct supervision
