Overview Of Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CCIE Cisco-certified Network Engineer to join a leading technology distributor in South Africa. Based in Johannesburg or Pretoria, you will play a key role in designing innovative Cisco-based solutions, collaborating with resellers and end customers to develop impactful proposals that drive business success. This position requires deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality solutions in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect Cisco-based network solutions tailored to client needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams, resellers, and end customers to create compelling technical proposals.
• Provide expert guidance on Cisco technologies to support partner initiatives.
• Ensure solutions align with industry best practices and client requirements.
• Support pre-sales and post-sales activities, including technical consultations.
  
  

Must-Have Qualifications

• Cisco Certification: Active CCIE certification.
• Location: Based in Johannesburg (JHB) or Pretoria (PTA), South Africa.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in network design and implementation using Cisco technologies.
  
  

Technical Skills

• Expertise in Cisco routing, switching, and security solutions.
• Proficiency in network architecture and solution design.
• Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, and data centre networking.
  
  

Communication

• Excellent verbal and written skills for creating proposals and engaging with stakeholders.
  
  

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Additional Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCDE).
• Experience working with distributors or resellers.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, cloud networking, or automation).
• Familiarity with proposal development tools (e.g., Cisco Commerce Workspace, design tools).
• Strong presentation skills for client-facing engagements.
