Key Responsibilities
As a HR Clerk, you will be responsible for the following:
Payroll Administration
Timesheet reconciliation, leave tracking, and payroll queries assistance
Documentation maintenance for earnings, deductions, and benefits
HR Administration
Employee file and HR database maintenance and updating
Support in drafting contracts, confirmations, and termination letters
HR compliance document monitoring and reporting assistance
Recruitment Support
Job advertisement, CV screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding assistance
Reference check and new hire pack preparation
Disciplinary & IR Support
Hearing scheduling, warning drafting, and disciplinary proceedings recording
Confidential employee relations record maintenance and HR matter liaison with line managers
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
An HR Certificate or Diploma (NQF Level 5 preferred)
1-2 years' experience in an HR or payroll administrative environment
Basic knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., SAGE VIP, Pastel, etc.)
Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information
Excellent communication skills in English (Afrikaans advantageous)
You are an organised, trustworthy, and proactive individual who enjoys structure and detail. You thrive in a support role and are passionate about building your career in a professional HR environment
