About The Role

As a Finance Manager at Moove, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations and strategies for our organisation in a specific city or country. You will be responsible for managing the financial reporting for the organisation. This includes managing monthly financial reporting, all statutory financial reporting and supporting budgeting and forecasting, financial planning and analysis.. While collaborating with cross-functional teams, you are required to provide sound financial insights to support critical decision-making and drive business growth. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Oversee the month-end process including ensuring the completion of the general ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Management of accounting records
  • Review, update for final submission, and provide commentary on the monthly management accounts including variance analysis explanations
  • Draft annual financial statements in accordance to local statutory requirements (IFRS)
  • Support with the management of external auditor relationship and ensure the organisation is compliant with accounting standards
  • Custodian of online banking (setup, approvals, relationship with banker)
  • Managing and overseeing the cash flow of the company and ensuring it has the appropriate treasury controls
  • Responsible for all supplier payments
  • Support in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for your respective companies
  • Managing and overseeing the taxation affairs of the organisation and liaising with the external tax firm for specialist advice
  • Preparation of the draft provisional tax returns for review by tax consultant
  • Preparation of income tax and deferred tax calculation to support the annual financial statements
  • Review and approval of vendor contracts
  • Review all formal finance policies and procedures, including any HR, and IT-related policies and procedures which have financial implications
  • Oversee the management of company secretarial services
  • Provide input into business operations/ Play a role in the formulation of the business's strategy
  • Development and implementation of market mandates, linked to segregation of function
  • Provide support, within framework of responsibilities to peers and relevant stakeholders
  • Provide updates and recommendations on key business objectives to peers and relevant stakeholders
  • Oversee and manage junior finance team members.
  • Recruitment, training, mentoring and development of staff

What You Will Need For This Position

  • 5-8 years experience in financial management
  • CA(SA), ACCA qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience in working with multinational companies across multiple regions
  • Working knowledge of the South African Tax system and requirements
