Work Location Note: This is not a remote position; a hybrid work model (2–3 days per week in the office) is offered at our Cape Town or Centurion location.

As RIB´s Social Media Manager you’ll be the architect of global conversations that showcase our innovation and impact. Are you digitally fluent, strategically sharp, and passionate about building conversations that matter? Great! Join our Global Marketing Team and amplify our voice across borders. In this role, you’ll own and elevate our social media presence, reporting directly to the Global Content Marketing Lead. From shaping our global content calendar to spotting emerging trends and turning them into engagement gold, you’ll connect industry professionals with stories that spark action.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop RIB´s global social media strategy: align content with brand messaging, audience needs, campaign goals and RIB´s purpose/ mission on all social media platforms (see requirements).
  • Create consistent, meaningful content on all social media platforms (see requirements).
  • Localize content with impact: work with regional teams to tailor global messaging to local audiences.
  • Drive community engagement: respond to followers, spark conversations, and grow meaningful interactions.
  • Leverage influencer marketing: identify, build, develop and manage relationships with relevant thought leaders (social media influencers).
  • Turn data into strategy: use social listening and analytics to track KPIs, optimize content, and refine buyer personas.
  • Benchmark and track trends: Continuously monitor our social media presence and performance, alongside that of our competitors. Analyze and share insights and develop strategic responses to emerging B2B social media trends.
  • Champion employee advocacy: empower internal teams to become social ambassadors and support social selling.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Communications, Marketing, or similar)
  • At least a 5 years´experience in a senior social media marketing, content strategy, or a similar digital marketing role
  • Ability to effectively communicate business propositions & creative concepts
  • Ability to work cooperatively with team members and influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Proven track record in managing both organic and paid social media campaigns across platforms (e.g. Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Sponsored Content, etc.)
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret key performance indicators (KPIs), optimize content, and adjust strategies based on data insights
  • Solid understanding of SEO principles and their impact on social media visibility and web traffic generation
  • Familiar with website content publishing and basic web design tools (e.g. CMS systems like WordPress)
  • Experienced in audience research, building buyer personas, community management, and implementing engagement strategies
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; leading multiple projects / tasks simultaneously/ Ability to prioritise, organise and manage workload from start through to the desired result within the scheduled timeframes.
  • Tool Skills: Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+, Xing and other social media best practices & trends as well as Google Analytics, Sprout and others.
  • Language Skills: Excellent command (spoken & written) of the English language

Advantageous

  • Experience or background in the construction industry
  • Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., German, Danish, Spanish)
  • Experience in any of the following tools/platforms:
