About the role The Engineer - Technical provides technical support and continuous improvement for the production cells of their assigned product line. What you will be doing- Adhering to & being proactive in site safety promotion
- Developing Customer Technical Relationship
- Customer needs and business development opportunity identification
- Analysing blast measurements and assessing performance against a baseline
- Preparation of differentiation product and services offerings
- Managing product / service implementation projects
- Developing case studies, Product application stewardship
- Training and accrediting customers in Orica courses
- Products and systems
- Training and mentoring for Blast Technicians, Operations personnel and Graduates
Identification and implementation of Value Delivery Programs (VDP)
What you will bring
- Logical progression from Blasting Engineer
- Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in the explosives and /or mineral resources industry, preferably through multiple sites and commodities
- Project Management
- Drill & blast execution experience
- Ability to undertake complex blast designs and troubleshoot customer concerns
- Able to risk assess different blasting approaches
- Adapt to using Orica software and tools
- Certification in training and assessing

Your qualifications- Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline
- Good Blasting Knowledge
- Well-developed understanding of mining processes and key drivers
- Competent with general drill & blast designs
- Competent in pre and post blast measurement and assessment techniques
- Good communication skills
