KEY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Executive: Sales is responsible for driving the company’s sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and executing strategic sales initiatives. This role requires a strong ability to influence, negotiate, and close sales while ensuring the company meets its revenue and profitability targets

KEY OUTPUTS/ ACCOUNTABILITY


Strategic Sales Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Identify growth opportunities, new markets, and emerging trends to drive revenue expansion.
  • Establish annual sales targets, forecasts, and budgets in collaboration with executive leadership.

Revenue and Profitability Growth

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue objectives.
  • Optimize product/service pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness and profitability.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and take corrective action when necessary.

Sales Team Leadership

  • Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team.
  • Foster a results-oriented culture that promotes accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Develop and implement performance management systems and incentive structures.

Client and Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization at high-level negotiations and industry events.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and loyalty by addressing concerns and delivering value.

Sales Operations and Process Optimization

  • Streamline sales processes, tools, and systems to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Oversee the implementation of CRM systems to manage client data and sales pipelines.
  • Develop and monitor adherence to sales policies, procedures, and best practices.

Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence

  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitor analysis to inform strategy.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on market dynamics.
  • Position the organization as a leader in its industry.

Reporting and Communication


  • Prepare and present detailed sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to the executive team.
  • Communicate sales goals, strategies, and expectations effectively across the organization.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Marketing, Operations) to ensure seamless execution of business objectives.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure all sales activities comply with regulatory standards and ethical guidelines.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with sales operations and client engagements.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (required).

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 5 -10 years working experience
  • Proven experience in a sales environment (preferably in B2B or B2C sales).
  • Strong understanding of sales techniques, market dynamics, and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • High-level proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
