Haven & Hadley

Date: 14 hours ago
City: Hermanus, Western Cape
Contract type: Full time

Location: Hermanus / Cape Town / Remote

Role Type: 3-month contract-to-hire, full-time

Start Date: As soon as we find the right person

About Us

We’re H&H, a data-driven content creation and digital marketing agency that partners with hotels, wine farms, tourism boards, and hospitality brands. We tell compelling stories, craft thoughtful strategies, and deliver work that actually turns interest into action → bookings, reservations and sales. We're small, creative, and deeply committed to doing things well.

Our work is rooted in hospitality, and we believe in delivering unreasonably good experiences & results - for our clients, and their guests alike.

The Role

We're looking for someone to own our brands' presence online, across social media platforms, in the comments, in DMs, and through stories and posts that actually feel alive. You’ll collaborate with us to craft the strategy, show up daily to engage and post, and help our content work harder and reach further.

If you’re energised by great storytelling, meaningful online interactions, and the idea of helping independent hospitality brands grow → this could be your place.

What You'll Do
  • Be the voice and presence for our brands across IG, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, and Facebook
  • Respond to messages, engage with comments, start conversations, and grow communities
  • Post consistently (no missed schedules) and create engaging stories every day
  • Handle urgent content requests (like “it’s raining,” “we're fully booked,” “we have a last-minute special”) quickly and creatively
  • Suggest copy and captions based on brand tone and engagement trends
  • Assist with analytics reports: adding data, linking content, and drawing insights
  • Join strategy sessions and contribute to campaign planning and content calendars
  • Help document and evolve our internal processes and playbooks as we grow

What We're Looking For
  • A warm, thoughtful, organised person who understands the difference between posting and presence
  • Someone who genuinely enjoys being online; not to scroll, but to build and connect
  • A passion for hospitality, people, and storytelling
  • A strong grasp of platform nuance: what works on Instagram vs. LinkedIn vs. TikTok
  • Excellent written communication and a sharp sense of tone
  • Ability to self-manage, prioritise, and stay consistent (especially during weekends or when something suddenly changes)
  • Excited to grow into more strategic role over time
  • Qualifications in Media, Marketing, Communications or similar are a bonus

Kindly note: This is a full-time, in-house role. We're not looking to work with freelancers or agencies for this position.

Work Culture

We value ownership over clock-watching.

This is a role for someone who’s energised by being online, telling great brand stories, and interacting with people - not someone counting hours.

Tools You'll Use

Must know your way around:

  • Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X (Twitter)
  • Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets

Nice to know:

  • Later, Meta Business Suite, Canva

Bonus if you know:

  • Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Looker Studio, Brevo

Setup

Ideal: Based in Hermanus with occasional co-working

Great: Based in Cape Town with 1-2 meetups a month

Possible: Fully remote, as long as you have excellent self-management and are online for communication and meetings during South African daytime hours

Required: Smartphone, laptop or desktop, stable WiFi

The Offer
  • 3-month full-time contract, with the intention to hire permanently
  • Standard South African leave and sick days apply
  • We’re still small, but growing intentionally, so you’ll have access to training, mentorship, and an unusually high level of care and collaboration from two passionate founders
  • Compensation: R10,000 - R18,000 pm depending on experience and the value you bring to the role
How to Apply

Please prepare the following:

  1. A short, creatively-written note about who you are and why you think this role feels right for you
  2. Links to any social media accounts you’ve worked on (can be your own or client accounts), your role, your highlights and biggest learnings
  3. Your CV, Résumé and any other letters of recommendation or references you'd like to include
  4. A list of contactable references, and their relation to your and/or your previous positions
  5. [Optional] A quick selfie video to say hi – we love putting a face to a name
