Responsibilities
Job Purpose
Project Planning and Coordination
Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and schedules, ensuring that all activities are identified. Ensure all project activities are aligned to meet the defined strategic objectives comply with the organisation's wider governance structure and processes and to be able to close gaps between implementation and the objectives.
Data Collection & Analysis
Gather project data, analyse data sets tools, methods and formats and prepare these in a presentative format. Being familiar with excel functions such as pivot tables, graphs, etc.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, including executives, team members, and external partners. Provide regular updates on project progress and address any concerns. Manage relationships with internal and external clients to support the communication of business information and decisions.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including meeting minutes, progress reports, and final project deliverables. Ensure all records are accurate and up to date.
Support and Facilitation
Provide administrative and logistical support to the Head. Facilitate meetings, workshops, and other project-related activities.
Internal Communications
Execute a communications plan within established internal communication systems and procedures. Send Communications to Exco or senior management on project tracking and problems to gain buy-in for changes to processes and procedures.
Education
Grade 12/ SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential); Relevant 3 Year Diploma/ Degree (Advantageous); Relevant Project Management Course and Advanced Excel course (Advantageous)
Experience
1 - 3 years' experience and understanding of the Financial/Insurance Services Industry (Essential); Experience in project management (Advantageous)
