Applications are invited for the Feasibility Clerk position to be based in Pretoria.
About the role:
As a Feasibility Clerk reporting to the Feasibility Manager, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for facilitating on and off-net connectivity feasibility requests. Your role will involve data verification, initial feasibility checks, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring timely communication and follow-up.
Key responsibility areas will include:
- Receive and process on and off-net connectivity feasibility requests under the guidance of the Feasibility Manager.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of information provided in feasibility requests.
- Assist in updating reporting sheets with relevant data and progress and updates.
- Conduct preliminary feasibility checks and assessments as directed.
- Collaborate closely with the Feasibility Manager and internal planning teams for feasibility confirmation.
- Assist in liaising with ISP partners to confirm third-party feasibility where necessary.
- Compile preliminary feasibility results and assist in communicating findings to requesters.
- Assist in soliciting quotations from third-party vendors.
- Provide regular updates to the Feasibility Manager on project progress and escalate issues as directed.
- Support in following up on outstanding feasibility results and ensuring timely resolution.
- Assist in corresponding with the sales team to manage customer expectations regarding turnaround times for feasibility requests.
- Work collaboratively with other team members and Feasibility Manager to ensure adherence to company-defined timelines for feasibility requests.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on organizational needs and the individual's capabilities.
Experience, skills and competencies requirements
- The following will be advantageous:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Previous experience working with big data sets in Excel. (Know how to use VLOOKUP)
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Basic understanding of fibre and wireless technologies.
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Teams, and MS Outlook.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks and problem-solving.
- Ability to handle and process data accurately and efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving processes and requirements within a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications required:
- Grade 12
