Minimum Requirements


  • Matric or equivalent
  • 2 - 3 years short-term insurance sales experience
  • Outbound sales experience preferable
  • Full insurance qualification or necessary credits
  • RE5
  • Class of business training for personal, commercial and life
  • Multilingual (preferable)
  • Digital Literacy
  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Sales Techniques


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promote and sells Insurance products to current and prospective customers
  • Upsell to existing policy holders
  • Compliance with industry regulation and training requirements
  • Uphold principles of Treating Customers Fairly
  • Provide quality service to customers
  • Provide accurate product information to clients in line with standards and protocols
  • Ensure the quality of service exceeds customer expectations and establish constructive relationships with client base
  • Adhere to quality standards
  • Provide professional and accurate advice on cover, exclusions, terms and conditions and ensuring clients are advised of any underwriting requirements in terms of the policy
  • Follow up on pending quotations
  • Ensure monthly sales targets are met or exceeded
  • Support, actively participate and contribute towards team initiatives
  • Keep up with market trends within the insurance industry and be aware of competitors products/offerings
  • Conducting client’s needs analysis and providing quotations
  • Customer relations
  • Active participation in ongoing compulsory training initiatives
  • Customer Engagement: Emphasize the importance of building long-term relationships with customers, not just focusing on immediate sales.
  • Digital Skills: Include responsibilities related to using digital tools and platforms for sales and customer engagement, reflecting the increasing importance of digital literacy in sales roles.
  • Feedback Loop: Add a point about gathering customer feedback and using it to improve service and product offerings.
