In this role you will be responsible for:

Coordinate and monitor daily mining activities (drilling, blasting, loading and hauling) to meet daily and weekly production targets Ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved Optimise equipment utilisation and operational efficiency Ensure full compliance with MHSA and site-specific safety standards Manage operational challenges Compile and submit production, safety and operational reports Work closely with geology to ensure accurate ore/waste identification and optimise safe, efficient production in line with Mine plans Work closely with engineering teams to ensure equipment availability, minimise downtime and optimise maintenance for safe and efficient mining operations

About you:

Grade 12 Valid Blasting Certificate for Opencast Mines Minimum 5 years’ experience in open-cast mining operations, including 2 years in supervisory experience Planning and coordination ability Good communication and reporting skills Leadership and people management skills Must have own transport and a valid driver’s license Medically fit to perform work at a mine Computer literacy
