Job Title: Production Supervisor - Mining Industry

Location: Mpumalanga, South Africa

Position Type: Full-time


RPO Recruitment's client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join their mining operations in Mpumalanga. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production and ensuring that all mining activities are carried out in a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all production activities, including drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and processing of ore
• Ensure that all production targets are met and that production is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Monitor and maintain high levels of health and safety standards within the mining operation
• Manage and coordinate the use of equipment and resources to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
• Implement and maintain effective communication and reporting systems to keep all stakeholders informed of production progress
• Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity and optimize production processes
• Train and mentor production staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their roles effectively

Essential Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering
• Opencast Blasting certificate for Coal Mines
• At least 2 different types of opencast machine licenses
• At least 3 years’ experience as a Digger/Dragline Operator / Blaster
• At least 2 years' Truck and Shovel experience
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the mining industry
