Come and join this dedicated team as a Section Manager Social Performance & Impact where you be responsible to facilitate the development, implementation, maintenance, integration, and management systems at the procession operations based on the Anglo-American Social Way and the Sustainable Mining Plans, as well as planning and implementation of sites SED programmes.

Job Description

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensure all relevant project and activity data are inputted to AAP and Group data management systems (various systems and then the centralised Isometrix data system.
  • Safeguard the activities undertaken contribute to addressing the developmental priorities of the community and key stakeholders especially the local government’s development agenda for uplifting and improvement in community lives.
  • Ensure the team, site management and staff understand the SED component of the Social Way
  • Ensure stakeholder involvement through participatory and collaborative processes in the identification and prioritisation of the key elements of those plans.
  • Lead and contribute to the development and defining of the site Social Management Plans in line with the AAP Corporate Affairs strategy and the AASW principles.
  • Support the site in developing strategic AASW priorities and associated KPIs.
  • Implement the systems, management tools and business processes aligned to the business objectives and lead the achievement thereof.
  • Ensure the alignment of the sustainability reporting in line with the requirements of the Social Way and the Sustainability Development strategy and policy.
  • Set-up of required controls to ensure delivery against these standards and the objectives as defined in the project charter.
  • Contribute to the development and defining of the site Social Management Plan in line with the AAP and Group Corporate Relations & Sustainable Impact strategy.
  • Support the GM and the SPMC and the direct reports in developing strategic priorities and associated KPIs.
  • Coordinate the compilation of AASW SPMC reports to Platinum Business Unit and Group.
  • Lead the embedding of Isometrix and other Social Management Systems with internal stakeholders
  • Input in the development of relevant management systems, e.g., Isometrix and ensure the alignment with the business processes objectives and implementation at site level.
  • Manage consultants supporting AASW at the operation and ensure delivery of contracted deliverables.

Qualifications

Relevant Graduate degree

Valid EB/Code 08 Drivers License

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Risk management techniques and critical controls
  • Proficient in interfacing and influencing colleagues and Senior Management
  • Proficient in facilitating multi-stakeholder engagement sessions.
  • Proficient in stakeholder engagement and ability to win the support and confidence of stakeholders and beneficiaries
