Are you an experienced Payroll Manager with a background in the manufacturing sector?  a leading manufacturing industry player is looking for a skilled professional to oversee our payroll operations. This role is essential for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our dedicated employees, and aligning financial and operational strategies with the unique dynamics of the manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is highly desirable.
• Extensive experience in payroll management, specifically within the manufacturing sector.
• Strong knowledge of South African payroll legislation and taxation.
• Proficient in payroll software and systems, particularly those used in manufacturing.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with an analytical mindset.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the complete payroll function for the organization ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for payroll processing.
• Oversee the calculation of wages, overtime, and deductions to ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
• Ensure that payroll systems are updated in accordance with new legislation and company policies.
• Handle the payroll accounting, reconciliations, and ensure that all financial transactions are correctly recorded.
• Supervise and mentor the payroll team, fostering a collaborative and efficient workplace.
• Liaise with HR and Finance to enhance information sharing and process integration.
• Prepare detailed reports on payroll matters for senior management.
