Job Description: Resource Consultant at Dunbar Education

Drive the Candidate-Led Ethos in Branch

Are you passionate about people and recruitment? Join Dunbar Education as a Resource Consultant and play a pivotal role in driving our candidate-led ethos. Ensure candidate attraction, recruitment, and compliance procedures are top-notch to help us place the finest quality candidates in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Candidate Recruitment & Attraction:
    • Understand branch needs and proactively recruit candidates using job boards, adverts, watchdogs, and CV sourcing.
    • Actively promote the refer-a-friend scheme to drive referrals.
    • Target win-backs after two months of receiving no work.
    • Call through other agency candidates and update availability to help get candidates back working for the branch.
    • Recommend suitable candidates for daily and long-term bookings.
  • Candidate Care & Retention:
    • Become the candidate oracle in the branch, a fountain of knowledge for all things candidate-related.
    • Ensure exceptional candidate care and retention.
    • Use the pre-vet form effectively to ensure candidates meet criteria to speed up the clearance process.
  • Compliance & Onboarding:
    • Lead the compliance process, including the pre-reg call, registration, and clearance of candidates.
    • Clear candidates within APSCo guidelines.
    • Conduct annual compliance checks on candidates to maintain suitability.
  • Branch Support & Administration:
    • Take full ownership of the recruitment to placement process.
    • Update the branch with hot candidates and their availability.
    • Assist in filling long-term bookings and recommend suitable candidates.
    • Participate in Monday morning meetings to review candidates registered and cleared in the previous week.
    • Assist in creating candidate profiles and sending email notifications when candidates are cleared.
    • Organize candidate events for the branch.
    • Place adverts to recruit the best quality candidates.
    • Conduct CV searches for specific skills/subjects needed by the branch.
    • Set up recruitment watchdogs for teachers and specialist support candidates.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Manage the candidate pool and provide utilization reports to the manager.
    • Provide regular updates on outstanding candidates and the status of candidate onboarding.
    • Ensure accurate and timely creation of compliance reports.
    • Maintain an annual reporting calendar and ensure all departments are aware of their reporting obligations and deadlines.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Increase the number of quality candidates registered.
  • Increase the number of candidates cleared within APSCo Guidelines.
  • Increase the speed of clearance times.
  • Increase the number of candidates out to work.
  • Ensure high levels of customer service.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in candidate recruitment and onboarding.
  • Strong understanding of compliance procedures.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
