The Process Engineer will be responsible to executes the technical work required to industrialise new products, improve existing manufacturing processes or reduce costs of existing products without compromising the quality of the products, in line with engineering best practices and in accordance with sales/marketing projections and plans.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Process Engineer will be responsible to executes the technical work required to industrialise new products, improve existing manufacturing processes or reduce costs of existing products without compromising the quality of the products, in line with engineering best practices and in accordance with sales/marketing projections and plans.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Support production facilities from a process engineering perspective
- Develop, update and validation of product Manufacturing bills of materials.
- Provide process engineering inputs at all stages of new product development/introduction.
- Define and ensure Industrialization activates are achieved.
- Conduct Process Safety audits and implement actions to improve on safety.
- Evaluate current production activities and make recommendations through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
- Evaluate manufacturing process based on quality criteria such as efficiency and speed.
- Perform internal process audits.
- Initiate and execute capital investment projects
- Identify the failure modes and effects of the process.
- Investigate all process & quality problems and implement corrective actions.
- Provide technical input to any proposed process/engineering change by conducting a thorough impact analysis.
- Development of new process capabilities
Minimum Requirements:
- BSc / BTech in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 3 years’ experience within Process engineering, manufacturing or similar role.
- Experience working within an MRP/ERP environment
- Proven success with process improvement.
- Pro-active mind set.
- Ability to work independently.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent in task management.
