SUMMARY
The company is looking for a driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to independently manage and grow the recruitment function. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, digital-first environment and is equally comfortable with cold calling.
POSITION INFO
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process: briefing, sourcing, screening, interviewing, shortlisting, and placement.
- Source candidates using modern platforms: LinkedIn Recruiter, Pnet, Indeed, CareerJunction, TikTok Jobs, and WhatsApp-based pipelines.
- Build and maintain a live candidate talent pool using an ATS or CRM tool.
- Conduct structured competency-based interviews and psychometric assessments where applicable.
- Deliver on time-to-fill targets without compromising quality of hire.
- Proactively prospect and onboard new recruitment clients through cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, networking events, and referrals.
- Develop and pitch recruitment proposals, pricing models, and SLAs to prospective clients.
- Manage existing client accounts, ensuring high satisfaction, repeat mandates, and contract renewals.
- Identify market opportunities by tracking hiring trends, industry movements, and competitor activity.
- Use AI-powered sourcing tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Boolean search techniques to find passive talent.
- Leverage social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook) for employer branding and talent attraction.
- Maintain accurate records in the ATS / CRM and produce weekly pipeline reports.
- Stay current with recruitment technology trends — from AI screening tools to video interviewing platforms.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in HR, Business, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of hands-on recruitment experience, ideally in an agency or multi-sector environment.
- Demonstrated success in business development — you have brought in clients, not just filled roles.
- Comfortable with cold calling and outbound prospecting — you see a 'no' as part of the process, not the end of it.
- Proficient with modern recruitment platforms and digital sourcing tools.
- Experience with AI-assisted screening or sourcing tools (e.g. Fetcher, HireEZ, Gem).
- Knowledge of South African labour law, POPIA compliance in recruitment, and B-BBEE considerations.
- Exposure to executive search or scarce-skills placements.
- Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator for business development.
