SUMMARY

We’re partnering with a leading financial services group that sits at the forefront of innovation across short-term insurance, health insurance, and digital comparison platforms. This is a business known for its strong tech-driven approach, customer focus, and high-performing actuarial teams.

They’re looking for an Actuarial Manager to take ownership of a team within their Short-Term Insurance (STI) actuarial function.

You’ll be responsible for leading a team of actuarial analysts, driving pricing and modelling initiatives, and partnering closely with the business to deliver data-driven insights that support growth and profitability.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining technical depth, stakeholder engagement, and team development.

POSITION INFO

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of actuarial analysts, supporting both technical and professional growth
• Translate business needs into actuarial models, pricing strategies, and actionable insights
• Oversee model development, deployment, testing, and ongoing performance monitoring
• Partner with stakeholders across actuarial and business teams to deliver clear, impactful recommendations
• Conduct data analysis and ensure accuracy, integrity, and alignment with financials
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, and innovation within actuarial processes
• Present insights and results to senior stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
• Manage team performance, delivery timelines, and overall output quality

Requirements:

• BSc / Honours Degree in Actuarial Science
• Nearly or newly qualified Actuary (ASSA)
• 4+ years’ experience within short-term / general insurance
• 1+ years' experience managing a team
• Strong technical modelling and analytical skills
• Experience working with actuarial or statistical modelling tools
• Ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders
