SUMMARY

POSITION INFO

A busy and well-established Medical Practice based in Midstream, Centurion, is seeking a Junior Medical Receptionist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and well-presented candidate to gain experience in both administrative and basic clinical duties within a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Professionally receive and welcome patients
• Answer calls and respond to WhatsApp enquiries
• Manage appointments and diary scheduling
• Handle general patient enquiries and follow up on results
• Perform basic administration (emails, filing, scanning)
• Take patient vitals
• Conduct urine tests (sample collection and processing)
• Capture patient information on the sonar system
• Clean and prepare examination rooms
• Sterilise instruments
• Assist with basic wound care (training will be provided if needed)
• Assist with theatre bookings and preparation of theatre lists
• Liaise between patients and practice management
• Manage stock control and order basic supplies

Minimum Requirements

• Computer literate (experience with GoodX will be highly advantageous)
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy practice
• Fast, accurate, and well-organised
• Neat and professional appearance

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday, approximately 08:00 – 17:00
• Some flexibility may be required

Salary: Approximately R15,000 – R20,000 (Negotiable depending on experience)

Training will be provided for clinical duties if the candidate does not have prior experience.
