SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced Marker Maker to join a well-established clothing manufacturer. This role suits a technically skilled individual with a strong understanding of pattern making, fabric efficiency, and garment production processes.

POSITION INFO

Key Responsibilities

• Create patterns for new styles and modify existing patterns as required for samples.
• Conduct quality control checks on production items, with a specific focus on pattern issues.
• Create markers for samples.
• Provide input into costings, particularly fabric rating.
• Make markers as per the production schedule for in-work and outwork.
• Take full control of samples from start to finish, including liaising with sales to obtain all required information and monitoring sample hands for quality and performance.
• Create BOMs for sample items and production.
• Create buying lists for all production items.
• Update the cutting schedule with current status.

Requirements

• Proven experience in marker making within a garment manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of pattern making and grading.
• Understanding of fabric consumption and costing principles.
• Experience with CAD marker making software advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and style sheets.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines within a fast-paced production environment.

Remuneration

• R9 000 - R10 000
