POSITION INFO
A specialised industrial business is looking for a technically strong
Technical Sales Representative with an established network within the Mining, Industrial, and Engineering sectors. The ideal individual will combine strong commercial ability with real technical understanding and industry presence.
This role focuses on building and strengthening relationships in heavy industrial environments while driving sales growth through technical, solution-based selling.
You will engage directly with:
- Engineers;
- Plant Managers;
- Procurement teams;
- Maintenance departments; and
- Operational leadership teams.
The business operates within highly technical industrial environments involving:
- Filtration systems;
- Pumps;
- Valves;
- Bearings;
- Conveyor systems; and
- Cement and mining applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and grow strategic relationships within the mining and industrial sectors
- Drive new business development and expand market presence
- Identify client operational challenges and provide technical solutions
- Prepare quotations, tenders, and commercial proposals
- Manage and grow existing key accounts
- Work closely with internal technical and operational teams
- Support and guide customers with technically sound recommendations
- Drive sales performance and revenue growth across assigned regions
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in technical sales
- Strong exposure to:
- Mining
- Industrial
- Engineering environments
- Proven network and established relationships within the industry
- Technical qualification (Mechanical / Engineering / Technical field - non-negotiable)
- Strong mechanical and industrial understanding
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
