POSITION INFO

A specialised industrial manufacturing business, within the technical textile and filtration sector, is looking for a commercially sharp, technically credible

Sales Manager who understands the real-world application of industrial filters, filtration systems, and industrial fabrics within heavy industrial environments.

This is not a role for a generic sales representative.

We are looking for someone who can walk into a plant, understand the process, identify operational challenges, and confidently engage with engineers, procurement teams, plant managers, and technical stakeholders.

You will lead growth across key industrial sectors including:

  • Power Generation
  • Mining
  • Food Processing & Production
  • Heavy Industrial Manufacturing

The business supplies highly specialised industrial textile filtration solutions, and requires a professional capable of combining:

  • Technical understanding;
  • Commercial strategy;
  • Industrial relationship management; and
  • Market expansion capability.

This role carries significant visibility and influence within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive strategic sales growth across industrial filtration markets
  • Develop and expand relationships with major industrial clients and decision-makers
  • Identify new opportunities within technical textiles and filtration applications
  • Manage and grow key accounts across mining, power generation, and industrial processing sectors
  • Present solution-based proposals aligned to operational and compliance requirements
  • Lead negotiations, pricing discussions, and long-term commercial agreements
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
  • Collaborate closely with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure delivery excellence
  • Lead and mentor the sales team to drive performance and accountability

What We’re Looking For:

  • Non-Negotiable:
    • Strong technical qualification (Engineering / Technical / Industrial-related)
    • Proven experience within:
      • Industrial filtration
      • Industrial fabrics
      • Technical textiles
      • Dust collection systems
      • Industrial process filtration
  • Experience:
    • 5–8+ years in industrial B2B sales
    • Strong exposure to heavy industrial sectors
    • Proven sales management and key account experience
    • Ability to understand technical processes and translate them into commercial value

You are:

  • Commercially driven, but technically grounded
  • Comfortable engaging with both engineers and executives
  • Strong in strategic relationship building
  • Highly analytical and solutions-oriented
  • Confident operating in complex industrial environments
  • Respected for your professionalism, technical understanding, and credibility
