Enginuity

EPCM Solutions | Centurion (Hybrid) with Site Work

About Enginuity

Enginuity is an EPCM company delivering integrated engineering, procurement, and construction management solutions across the mining, minerals processing, and heavy industrial sectors. We take projects from concept through commissioning, partnering with clients to deliver practical, fit-for-purpose outcomes that work in the real world.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled Draughtsman to join our team in Centurion. You will work alongside our mechanical, structural, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to produce accurate, well-coordinated drawings and 3D models that take projects from concept through to construction. This is a hands-on role where the quality of your output directly shapes how projects get built. The role is hybrid, based out of our Centurion office, with site visits as required for surveys, as-builts, and construction support.

Core Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed 2D drawings from 3D models for mechanical, structural, and multidisciplinary EPCM projects, including general arrangements, fabrication drawings, structural steel detailing, equipment installations, piping layouts, and isometrics
  • Develop drawing packages from engineering sketches, design inputs, and client specifications through concept, basic, and detailed design phases to issue-for-construction
  • Apply correct welding symbols, weld specifications, and dimensional tolerances in accordance with relevant codes and project requirements
  • Maintain drawing registers, revision control, and quality checks on your own outputs, cross-checking against checklists before issue
  • Coordinate with mechanical, structural, civil, electrical, and piping disciplines to identify and resolve clashes before issue
  • Mark up red-lines and produce as-built drawings from site information
  • Liaise with engineers, fabricators, and project teams to clarify design intent and identify opportunities to make designs stronger, safer, and more cost-effective
  • Prepare material take-off lists and bills of materials with clear specifications of quantities, sizes, and materials of construction
  • Maintain CAD standards, templates, and title blocks in line with company and client requirements
  • Plan work to meet engineering lead times and submit drawings within agreed timeframes
  • Participate in design reviews and constructability discussions
  • Support tender and proposal work with drawings and visual deliverables when required

Minimum Requirements

  • National Diploma, N-level qualification (N5 or higher), or equivalent in Mechanical Draughting, Structural Draughting, or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of drawing office experience, preferably in an EPCM, consulting engineering, or heavy industrial environment
  • Demonstrated structural draughting experience (steelwork detailing, connections, GAs, fabrication drawings)
  • Advanced proficiency in the Autodesk software stack, AutoCAD, Inventor, Advance Steel, Navisworks
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and structural detailing conventions, GD&T, welding symbols and specifications, and dimensional tolerancing
  • Solid grasp of fabrication drawing standards and constructability principles
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to revision control and drawing quality
  • Computer literate in MS Office
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to client sites
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Attributes

  • Plant 3D experience for piping and plant layout work
  • Revit experience for civil/structural coordination
  • Experience in mining, minerals processing, or heavy industrial projects
  • Materials handling experience (conveyors, transfer stations, chutes, structural steel) highly advantageous
  • Brownfield site survey and as-built drawing experience
  • Familiarity with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Mine Health and Safety Act requirements as they apply to design

What We Offer

  • Varied, high-impact projects with leading mining and industrial clients
  • Direct exposure to senior engineers and real responsibility on project deliverables
  • A full Autodesk software environment and proper drawing office standards
  • Competitive remuneration aligned with experience
  • Support for ongoing training and skills development
  • A collaborative team that values quality over quantity
