A leading commercial finance organisation is seeking a dynamic and experienced

Key Account Manager (KAM) to join their Pretoria team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with key brokers and clients within the asset-based finance environment.

This role focuses on driving portfolio growth, structuring tailored finance solutions, and building long-term strategic relationships within the commercial funding sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow relationships with key brokers and existing clients
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned broker portfolios
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing client and broker networks
  • Structure, negotiate, and close asset-based finance transactions
  • Collaborate with credit, risk, and operations teams to ensure successful deal execution
  • Provide tailored funding solutions aligned to client asset requirements
  • Review portfolios regularly to identify growth and cross-sell opportunities
  • Maintain strong product knowledge within asset-based finance solutions
  • Ensure excellent service delivery and relationship retention
  • Contribute to sales strategy and revenue growth targets

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field (preferred)
  • Proven experience in Yellow Metal Equipment Finance (essential)
  • Strong background in asset-based finance, commercial lending, or equipment finance
  • Proven track record in key account management, sales, or relationship management
  • Strong understanding of finance products including:
    • Finance leases
    • Operating leases
    • Invoice discounting
    • Floorplan finance
  • Strong negotiation, deal structuring, and closing skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Ability to work with internal credit, risk, and operational teams
  • CRM system experience and financial modelling skills (advantageous)
