This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Legal Officer to join Cartrack’s Johannesburg team. The role will focus on supporting and protecting the business through legal guidance, contract drafting, managing complaints and escalations, and handling day-to-day legal matters. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, including the CEO and Group CEO, gaining valuable exposure within a fast-paced business environmen

Responsibilities

• Drafting and reviewing commercial agreements and contracts.
• Managing legal correspondence, disputes, complaints, and escalations.
• Providing legal support across multiple business areas.
• Liaising with external law firms where required.
• Supporting operational and business stakeholders on legal matters.
• Managing contract administration and legal documentation.
• Working closely with leadership on business-related legal matters .

Minimum requirements

• LLB degree completed.
• Completed articles with approximately 1–2 years post-article experience.
• Admission as an attorney is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong drafting and commercial thinking ability.
• Strategic mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and strong communication skills.
